The Atomic Backland 89 SL are lightweight and versatile touring skis designed for backcountry touring and intermediate skiers. With a 90 mm width underfoot, the Backland 89 SL offer a good balance between climbing efficiency and descent stability. At a length of 169 cm, the skis feature a geometry of 122-90-111 mm and a 16.4 m radius, which ensures smooth and predictable behavior during turns. The HRZN 3D Backland technology in the tip area increases the surface area of the skis and aids floatation in soft snow.
